Octopolis – SS Julian (He/Him)

SS Julian is a Californian author-illustrator with a creative writing degree from Stanford University and a background in design. His debut graphic novel Octopolis was a 2025 finalist for the Russ Manning Promising Newcomer Award. Julian’s work celebrates the diversity of biology and the interconnectivity of the environment, and spans from scientifically accurate to adorably accessible.
