Terry Shoemaker
Terry's Golden Gladiator was his first created and published comic character. It was written and drawn for the Newfoundland Herald located in Canada.
In 1981, Terry tried out working 9-5 in an office. He drew military manuals and illustrated such things as how to change a tire on a Blackhawk helicopter and how to throw a grenade.
In 1982, Terry met Dick Giordano at the San Diego Comic Con. Karen Berger contacted Terry and he was featured in DC's New Talent Showcase. Terry then was penciller on Tales of the Legion of Superheroes (TLS).
Keith Giffin spent time with Terry and he recommended Terry for TLS. Terry penciled over some of Keith Giffin's layouts.
In 1984, Carl Potts recruited Terry to work for Marvel Comics.Terry visited Marvel Studios in New York where he met Walt & Louise Simonson, Bob Harras, and Bobbie Chase. Terry worked for Marvel as a penciller, inker and Cover artist. He drew comics such as X-Force, X-Factor Annual, Akira, New Mutants and Zealot.
In 1995, Jim Lee hired Terry to work for Image and Wildstorm in La Jolla, California. During his time at Image/Wildstorm, Terry would take on the role as penciller, inker, and cover artist on titles such as Gen13, The Maxx, Stormwatch, and Zealot.
